On May 26th and 27th, students from the Theatre School at Music Mountain Theatre competed in their first virtual competition, YES Fest: Young Entertainer Spotlight Festival, presented by the Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts. This educational competition with schools and studios in the NJ area competed in various categories, participated in workshops, and received feedback from professional, theatrical adjudicators.
MMT is proud to announce that in the “Original Works” category, Gabby DiRusso, Lexi Healy, Ellen Moore, and Liberty Woolliscroft won the top award, The Spotlight Award, for their original play Friendemies. In the “Monologue” category, Ava Echternacht received the excellence in acting award, The YES Moment Award, for her comedic monologue “Nature. ”
