2026 MMT SCHOLARSHIP
PURPOSE
The Music Mountain Theatre Scholarship, created by the MMT Board of Directors, is a $1000 scholarship for an applicant planning a course of study in the performing arts field. In addition, consideration will be given to those applicants who may not be directly pursuing a performing arts degree but will utilize their performing arts experience to enhance their collegiate path.
ELIGIBILITY
The applicant may be a high school senior who has participated in some capacity at Music Mountain Theatre from ninth to twelfth grade. Individual experience, motivation, and written expression will be factors in determining the final recipient. The Music Mountain Theatre Scholarship Committee will make all award determinations.
ESSAY FOR 2026
Reflect on how your experience at Music Mountain Theatre has helped you overcome a personal obstacle
or adversity. Be specific. Then, identify a musical theatre character who inspires you and explain how they will guide you as you begin your next chapter or new act.
(Essay should be 800 words or less. Make sure to use YOUR voice and not AI)
SUBMISSIONS
A completed application and essay in PDF format must be received electronically by May 31, 2026.

The winner of the Music Mountain Theatre Scholarship will be announced at MMT's annual Game Night on August 16, 2026.
